Finally the day has come when we tend to forget all our grudes against our teachers and wish them a very happy Teachers’ Day. Teachers’ day is celebrated on 5th September every year for remembering our 2nd President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth date. We are celebrating this day from LKG and we all have a stock of memories of this day. I remember when I was in school, this day used to start with havan and a boring speech of our respected Principal sir and then we all ran for prashad. Our seniors would come to our class as our teacher and made us do funny activities. Different schools organizes different kind of programmes on this day where the students perform for their teachers and also have debate and speech competitions. In our school, colleges or tutions we all come across different kinds (varieties) of teachers. These are some of the varities -The first kind are the Strict ones who smiles once in a blue moon and always scare the students with their dangerous look as if we have killed bahubali. Then the teachers of second category are as boring as history book we fall asleep just by looking at their face. I used to sleep in their class and then they used to scold me by asking questions like when did Babar came to India and even after their scoldings I still don’t remember when did he came to India. Now the third kind are best kind of teachers, those who come late to classes, gives us free periods and allow us to do self studies (gossips). These teachers are full of entertainment. Then comes Maths teacher who always thinks about sin theta and cos theta and if someone will make noise they will say “beta ab tu pita”. And finally comes the Hindi teachers, I think they come from another planet. They always use words that are dangerous than the nuclear bomb.
We acknowledge those teachers who taught us in our school or colleges but we forget to thank our first ever teachers who taught us the basic things in life and that’s our parents. Parents are always the first teacher of any child. They gave us knowledge that no one can provide us and that are manners and etiquettes.
We also have a set of teachers who teaches us to be strong in our difficult situations, sometimes judges us even scolds us when we are wrong and these are non other than our friends. Teachers day is not just about recognising the work of teachers of our school and colleges but appreciating the effort of those who taught us something in life which helped you to become a good person. We remember every single thing what teachers used to do in the class but hardly remembers what they taught us. They taught us to share our things with neady people, they taught us to respect each and everyone and also taught us not to judge others by their appearance but don’t remember a single thing instead we abuse our teacher for almost everything. We never realise how much effort they are putting on us. They study every night to teach us every morning.Do you think only one day is enough to thank them? The answer must be no. From this Teachers’ Day try to respect each and every teacher even if you hate them because they have given you a better future by providing you knowledge. On this occasion of Teachers’ Day I would like to thank everyone who taught me something, because of you I have become a better person.
HAPPY TEACHERS’ DAY
